Two Strike Community Members

Eagle Horn A wedding dance was held at the Two Strike Community Hall for Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Eagle Horn. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Black Spotted Horse. Square dance caller was Martin Iron, music was provided by the Swingsters of Soldier Creek. (Rosebud Sioux Herald, Dec. 6, 1965)

Two Strike (1821-1914) received his name from a hunting incident when he was 16. He shot at a buffalo and killed two with the same arrow. He was the leader of the Hinhansunwapa (Owl Feather Bonnet) band and became leader of all the Sicangu after Spotted Tail's death. Photo
