Soldier Creek Community Members

Pvt. Marvin Fast Dog, son of Adam and Mercy Fast Dog of Solider Creek, and husband of the former Carol Black Bear of Rosebud, has been assigned to Fort Hood, Tex. with the 1st battalion, 66th armor of the 2nd armored division, Fast Dog has begun training as a tank operator. The Soldier Creek Swingsters were a band organized in 1961 which included manager Robert Kills Plenty and his sons. Percy sings, Vincent plays the steel guitar, Sterling sings and plays lead guitar, and Conrad plays the drums. The group plays locally. (Rosebud Sioux Herald, Dec. 6, 1965)
