Spring Creek Community Members

On Friday, July 17, 1970 Spring Creek Community's new post office located in George and Jessie Ann Whiting's Riverside Grocery Store opened. Raymond Grey Fox received the first piece of mail. Louie Walking Eagle received the second piece of mail and Harlan Walking Eagle got the third. The first mail run was also the time when the Whitings officially put into operation a new business. It was a fully equipped Mobil Service Station to accommodate their customers. (Rosebud Sioux Herald, 3 August 1970)
